Tendon Repair
Tendon repair is a surgical procedure aimed at fixing damaged or torn tendons, which are the fibrous tissues that connect muscles to bones. Tendons can become injured due to trauma, overuse, or degenerative conditions, leading to pain, weakness, and limited mobility in the affected area. During tendon repair surgery, the surgeon sutures the torn ends of the tendon together, reattaches the tendon to the bone, or, in some cases, replaces the damaged tendon with a graft. Physical therapy is typically necessary to restore strength, flexibility, and function to the affected area.
